3: First Battle of Bull Run.It was important because the Confederate victory meant the war would not end quickly.

5: Johnston was wounded at the battle of Seven Pines, during the Peninsula campaign.

6: At First Bull Run, Confederate troops under General Bee were being pushed back. He reportedly waved his sword at Jackson's brigade and called to his men "There stands Jackson like a stone wall.Rally behind the Virginians." Bee was shot and mortally wounded a few minutes later. Richmond newspaper reports of this incident gave Jackson his nickname.
Jackson was killed at the battle of Chancellorsville.
